Air traffic at Schiphol is not disrupted by storm Ciarán, but there are delays

Some flights have diverted to other airports (including one from Austrian Airlines from Vienna, to Liège). Most airlines landed on time this afternoon, but departed with some delay.

KLM’s operational director, Maarten Stienen, had already informed staff on Wednesday evening that there was a good chance that other airlines would continue flying during the storm. But he himself thought the risk to the safety of the personnel on the platform was too great.

Regional airports
All flights were canceled at Rotterdam The Hague Airport on Thursday afternoon. Most flights continued at Eindhoven Airport, but some incoming flights diverted to other airports.

The strength of the storm will decrease during the evening. Code orange has now been lifted by the KNMI.
