World of Warcraft legend Chris Metzen returns to Azeroth after seven-year absence


Chris Metzen, former senior VP of story and franchise growth at Blizzard has returned to the corporate after a seven-year hiatus.

Metzen introduced in 2016 that after virtually 23 years at Blizzard, he could be retiring on the age of 42. It appears retirement is not all it is cracked as much as be.

Blizzard introduced Metzen’s return at the moment on X (previously often called Twitter), stating his function is that of govt artistic director of the Warcraft universe.

At the moment crafting the “subsequent era of adventures” for World of Warcraft, Metzen will take the stage at BlizzCon 2023 in November to debate what the group is engaged on.
