Yes, sometimes there is too much choice.
WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, Threema, Teams, Discord, Guilded and a million more. All have their own login/registration, often their own app of course that is actually more or less obliged to use…
At work we do as much as possible with 3CX, then we have telephony, Facebook messenger, SMS and WhatsApp in 1 place, but that is B2C of course.
I do a lot of volunteer work and there are things that Discord or Guilded would be perfect for discussing and organizing. But you don’t get people there. It often remains with 1 WhatsApp group where you are completely lost within 5 minutes … and a website with a forum or community website is no longer necessary these days.
Yes, there are plenty of forums, but those are mainly the slightly more computer-minded people and also a certain age group. Most people do not get further than a WhatsApp group….
