Researchers in Australia have found a brand new species of gecko with stunning psychedelic eyes. The beautiful lizards evaded detection for many years attributable to their similarities with a intently associated species.

The brand new species, referred to as the lesser thorn-tailed gecko (Strophurus spinula), is about 2.4 inches (6.1 centimeters) lengthy and has a dappled sample of white and grey scales, which can also be mimicked in its eyes. The camouflaged geckos stay in woodland areas throughout the south of Western Australia, although researchers are uncertain precisely how massive the newfound gecko’s inhabitants is.
