Streamz will offer content from Paramount+ – IT Pro – News

In 2017 there is taken a step to view content from your own country elsewhere. Er is apparently It was already agreed at EU level in 2018 that Geo blocking at EU level must stop, but streaming audiovisual content was not included (how?). However, I read that last Wednesday the Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) voted and that most agreed that this should also be extended to audiovisual content. I’m curious when this will come into effect and how it will affect the audio and video landscape. We may eventually be able to make paid or free use of BBC iPlayer, VRT Max, 3Sat or a music streaming service from Denmark. It may benefit competition, but I do not know what the consequences will be for, for example, British or Scandinavian detectives that the NPO purchases and whether this will have consequences for the purchasing policy (higher costs, can it still be purchased at all).

It would also be nice if the public broadcasters of the Netherlands (NPO) and Belgium (VRT) join forces, as BBC and ITV have done, which even make it available outside the UK: BritBox (paid subscription), although they may have a lot more own content than VRT or PO. In addition, we are in the European Union and it would be good if the Netherlands could subscribe (free with advertising, paid) to a service from another country, but apparently there are still rights limits in this area. For example, I like to watch German documentaries from the public or 3Sat, but these are often blocked in the apps. Fortunately, there are quite a few on YouTube (or the broadcaster’s official accounts) that work without a VPN.
