Shah Rukh Khan to be given Y+ security amidst probable threats

In light of the threats following this year’s two straight hits Jawan and Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan has been given Y+ protection. Shah Rukh Khan will have six police commandos as his constant bodyguards as part of the security detail. The Maharashtra Police’s special protection section will provide the armed bodyguards.

He would be provided protection all over India, and they will be equipped with Glock handguns, AK-47 assault weapons, and MP-5 machine guns. Four armed police officers will also provide round-the-clock security for his home. Security will be covered by the actor. Private security is not allowed to carry high-tech weapons in India, hence police security is required.

According to intelligence reports, the threat to Shah Rukh’s life has dramatically escalated as a result of the commercial success of his two films. According to the announcement made by Dilip Sawant, special IGP, VIP security: “In view of the recent imminent and probable threats to Shah Rukh Khan, cine actor, all unit commanders are requested to provide him Y+ with escort scale of security on payment basis, with immediate effect till the next high level committee recommendation and review committee decision, during his visit/engagements and stay in your jurisdiction to avoid any untoward incident.”

Salman Khan’s security was raised to the Y+ category in November 2022 from the previous X level due to suspected threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who are thought to be responsible for the murder of Punjabi musician Sidhu Moose Wala.
