American grappling ace Tye Ruotolo said he is ready and pumped for arguably his biggest match to date next month and he is getting all the help he needs from various sources.
The 20-year-old Atos standout seeks to realize his goal of becoming a world champion as he vies for the inaugural ONE welterweight submission grappling gold on November 3 at ONE Fight Night 16 on Prime Video in Bangkok. He is going up against Russian grappler Magomed Abdulkadirov.
Speaking to The MMA Superfan, Tye Ruotolo shared that he is all fired up to go into battle in the high-stakes showdown and that his preparation is going well as planned.
The Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt said:
“Aside from that, there’s been nothing too out of the normal. You know the ocean has been helping me get ready, the weights in the weight room, and my professors you know, I’m ready to go and I’m all fired up.”

A win at ONE Fight Night 16 will allow Tye Ruotolo to join his twin brother Kade, the lightweight submission grappling king, in the roster of champions in ONE Championship.
En route to getting the huge opportunity at hand, Ruotolo won all of his four fights to date in ONE, becoming one of the faces of submission grappling in the promotion. His latest victory came last August, where he submitted Turkish opponent Dagi Arslanaliev by way of a rear-naked choke.
Out to outduel Tye Ruotolo and obtain his own championship goal is Magomed Abdulkadirov. The 32-year-old Dagestani fighter will be making his ONE debut but has seen his share of championship battles while competing in the European grappling and wrestling circuit.
ONE Fight Night 16 will take place at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium and will air live in US primetime free of charge for existing Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
