Letters to the Editor: The ‘X’-ing out of Twitter

To the editor: Virginia Heffernan’s X evaluation relating to Elon Musk’s identify change for Twitter brings up some fascinating factors.

In tune with Musk’s public shift to conspiracy-driven, right-wing vitriol, the X identify change appears to be progressing towards one thing worse and extra sinister like a twisted cross, which many writers and analysts related to the pre-World Conflict II Germany Christian motion.

Heffernan’s symbolic references don’t go there.

To the editor: The phrase “tweet” is a verb which means somebody has posted one thing vital. X’d seems like somebody has simply posted one thing crossing out one thing silly.
