L.A. Times shouldn’t have published comic offensive to Hindus

To the editor: The Sept. 2 comedian “Pace Bump” appeared like a deliberate effort to the touch off the feelings of Hindus generally. By displaying a distraught passenger sitting subsequent to a “Hindu goddess with ten arms” on an airplane, it revealed the cartoonist’s ignorance of Hinduism.

One should perceive {that a} god or goddess is not only an idol or imaginary image that anybody makes and breaks as they need. These are sacred Hindu deities which might be invoked for worship in each temple and residential.

Please don’t use them for leisure functions. It’s smart to depart our gods and goddesses alone, simply as with different non secular symbols.
