Heavy rains expose ancient phallus and ‘imposing’ face carvings at Roman fort in Spain


Heavy rains in Spain have revealed the stone carvings of a phallus, human face and cornucopia at an historic Roman fort.

The carvings had been crafted at Tossal de La Cala, a fort relationship to the primary century B.C. in modern-day Benidorm, on the Mediterranean coast. Though the traditional artwork was first noticed in January 2020, metropolis officers and archaeologists made the announcement on Might 19, 2023 to “make sure the safety of the aid,” in response to a translated assertion from the town of Benidorm.
