French air traffic controllers will not strike on Thursday after all

The strike would particularly affect flights at Paris’s Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports. Many flights were expected to be canceled and many delays were also expected. Flights from Schiphol to Paris could also be affected.

Strikes had also been announced around Ascension Day.

However, the French civil aviation authority DGAC has not yet confirmed the union’s statement. Neither side has released details of the reported agreement. It is also unclear whether the two smaller unions that also supported the strike will follow SNCTA’s example and call off the strike.
