Flying Blue launches online payment option Flying Blue+: ‘Save faster for upgrades’

With Flying Blue+, participants can log in to their Flying Blue account in affiliated online stores and choose how many Miles they want to earn or spend. They also have the option to pay with a combination of Miles and a payment card.

By using Flying Blue+, users can earn Miles on their everyday purchases, “putting rewards such as upgrades or flights to dream destinations within reach faster than ever,” according to the loyalty program.

Brands that offer the Flying Blue+ payment option include OFM., Zinzi, Van Arendonk, Purdey and Travelbags. Several others will follow in the coming months. Flying Blue participants in France can also use this new payment option later this year.

Benjamin Lipsey, director of Flying Blue, says: “We are delighted that we can now launch Flying Blue+ in the Netherlands. Here, Flying Blue members are the first in the world to have the opportunity to earn and/or spend Miles on their daily purchases. Wherever participants encounter the Flying Blue+ payment option at checkout in an online store, they can earn and spend Miles.”

He continues: “Because participants can shop directly with affiliated merchants and pay securely and conveniently, the customer journey is extremely smooth. We are confident that this will give our Flying Blue participants better value for their Flying Blue Miles and that the desired rewards become feasible for more participants.”
