Bungie temporarily disables chat in Destiny 2 after actively abused exploit – Gaming – News

Unfortunately, I think gaming is less and less about fun.

It starts out as fun, until you get further into the game and you run into certain walls. Your level isn’t high enough, your gear isn’t strong enough, or your stats aren’t high enough.
As a human being, you often try to solve that problem, often by:
1) Money
2) Time
3) Skill

In Destiny 2 you have something like Trials of Osiris that is reserved for the top players. The goal is to win 7/8 rounds, and when you’ve lost twice you have to start all over.
Winning gives you access to the best weapons in the game.

By crashing your competition you save on time and you need no/little skill. This results in you achieving your goal (getting best weapons) and that results in getting ‘fun’.

(By the way, for many people, ego stroking also equals pleasure).
