Giving Apple products to employees is asking for trouble. From the moment an employee walks around with a newer model, the rest want it too

What nonsense is this. You can make this point with anything and it is not correct there either.

An employee simply gets his laptop, telephone, car, etc. and as soon as a fixed term has expired you can choose a new one. And yes, some have a new one at different times than others, but that goes for everyone. And if something is on the shelf, it goes to new employees and as soon as the term is over they can choose something new.

Or are you saying that this behavior only occurs with Apple users and products? That would be great because nobody among us shows this behavior, or are those 170 exceptional cases?

Just expect a mountain of complaints that the battery is broken and that it is really impossible to continue working like this.

If a battery is broken, your phone will not work and you indeed need a repair. And if it turns out to be just okay, don’t have it repaired. What is your point?
