Amazon will stop cloud storage service Drive from 2024 – Computer – News

They should give that photo-sync client a good overhaul.
I’ve been using it through Prime for years (since amazon.de came out with it).
However, that client regularly causes sync issues, which results in the fact that photos are sometimes stored 6x in your cloud (with timestamps in the filename).
Furthermore, the sync client regularly decides to completely re-sync (and with 300,000+ images (á more than 6.5TB) that takes quite a while).
And the most annoying thing is the fact that that client takes a lot of CPU load.
Uncalled for…

I sync my NAS (via iSCSI) with Amazon Photos (in the past it was possible natively from the NAS, never issues with it). But if there is a good alternative… please!
Nice that you can save RAW and unlimited with them, but it is very frustrating.
