Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan wraps up shooting his debut film Maharaj


Aamir Khan, with over three decades of experience in the film industry, is now witnessing his son Junaid’s foray into the world of cinema. Junaid is all set to mark his debut in the realm of movies with a period epic titled Maharaj, produced by Aditya Chopra. 

The latest update suggests that Junaid has successfully completed shooting for the film. Maharaj is said to take its inspiration from the infamous Maharaja Libel Case of 1862 and is slated for release on OTT.

Actress Shalini Pandey, who is set to share the screen with Junaid in the film, provided some insights about the newcomer.

She remarked that Junaid is a very easy-going individual and an excellent co-actor to collaborate with. She further noted that, given their similar ages, the two of them thoroughly enjoyed shooting the film and shared remarkably congruent energies on the set.

In Maharaj, you can expect to see Sharvari Wagh and Jaideep Ahlawat in prominent roles. The film is centred around the infamous 1862 Maharaja Libel Case, a legal dispute that revolved around the leader of a religious sect suing a newspaper for making allegations about his intimate relationships with his female devotees. Junaid is reported to play the role of a reporter in the film, offering a unique perspective within the courtroom proceedings.

Recently, Aamir Khan revealed that Junaid is also making a debut as a producer with the film Pritam Pyaare in which he also has a five-minute cameo.
