Titanic sub was lost due to catastrophic implosion, US coast guard says


The U.S. Coast Guard has confirmed that particles discovered close to the wreck of the Titanic was a part of the misplaced Titan submersible. The sub suffered a “catastrophic implosion”, killing the 5 males inside, the U.S. Coast Guard mentioned at a press convention Thursday (June 22). 

The particles, remnants of the misplaced Titan submersible, was found simply 656 toes (200 meters) from the Titanic wreck, close to its bow. It was discovered after a four-day search by a global rescue effort headed by Canadian and U.S. authorities.
