This is how you can find out which videos you recently watched on TikTok

TikTok

Do you remember which TikTok videos you enjoyed the most over the past seven days? You can now find the videos in your personal TikTok watch history. That way you can find it.

Some of the videos that you come across on TikTok you simply have to watch again or share with friends. Scrolling back in your timeline is not possible, however, and would be of little use: videos that appear on your timeline are shown on it on a randomized basis. TikTok does, however, always save an overview of the videos that you have watched in the past seven days. With one dive you can still find videos from a few hours or days ago.

How to find your watch history in TikTok

TikTok therefore saves your viewing history for a maximum of seven days. It is also possible to disable this, although its impact is limited. The service automatically saves which videos you prefer and adjusts its algorithm accordingly. Switching off to regain privacy is not necessary on TikTok. But we’re not there, first find your viewing history:

  1. Open the TikTok app
  2. Click at the bottom left of the home screen Profile
  3. Then click on the top left hamburger menu and choose Settings and privacy
  4. Then select Watch history to see the videos you watched in the last seven days
View TikTok Watch History

Click on any video to watch it again. Scrolling up or down will show you other videos you’ve seen ‘recently’. If you would rather not have TikTok save what you have looked at, follow the steps below. With the same steps, but reversed, it is of course possible to re-enable your viewing history later.

  1. In the Watch History menu, click the gear top right
  2. Put the switch behind Watch history from

Innovations in TikTok

Showing a solid overview of your viewing history is one of the innovations that has recently been rolled out on the social medium. TikTok is also working on a so-called Clear Mode to be able to scroll through the app without annoying buttons and a dislike button should also give users of the app more control over the videos they see. Both options are currently being tested; whether they will actually become available to everyone is not known at the moment.
