The Archies has finally unveiled its first song Sunoh, which features the much-anticipated debut of Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, as well as Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, Dot and Yuvraj Menda.
The music video introduces the audience to Zoya Akhtar’s interpretation of Riverdale, based on the popular Archies comics. The characters in the video retain their original names from the comics, and the visuals are reminiscent of the comic book pages.
The song Sunoh serves as an introduction to the characters by depicting their peaceful daily routines. The song opens with Agastya as Archie who is seen singing the song for his band while we see Mihir Ahuja’s Jughead on the drums. The song further introduces us to Suhana’s Veronica who is seen skating, Khushi’s Betty and Dot’s Ethel cycling around the town, Vedang’s Reggie being a playboy and Yuvraj’s Dilton is seen entering the town.
The song is composed by Ankur Tewari and The Islanders, with lyrics written by Javed Akhtar and Dot. The vocals were provided by singers Tejas Menon and Shivam Mahadevan.
The Archies is an Indian adaptation of the beloved American comic books of the same name. The film is a coming-of-age musical that follows the lives of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Ethel and Dilton in the fictional town of Riverdale.
The film is slated to be released on December 7, 2023, on OTT.
