The Gilas Pilipinas groups start their 5×5 basketball campaigns on the Asian Video games 2022 in 2023 beginning September 26 in a number of venues in Hangzhou, China.
In males’s basketball, 16 groups are divided into 4 teams of 4. The lads’s Gilas staff, slotted in Group C with Jordan, Bahrain and Thailand, will battle in a single round-robin within the preliminaries.
The highest staff per group will get an outright slot within the knockout quarterfinals whereas the second and third-best groups per group will determine in qualification for the remaining playoff berths.
Within the ladies’s aspect, 12 groups together with Gilas ladies, who will face Kazakhstan, Hongkong, and Japan, will determine within the group stage with the highest two groups per group and the 2 finest third-placed groups advancing to the KO part.
It’s the first time that the Philippines staff is sending a squad within the ladies’s basketball competitors.
The medal rounds and the boys’s remaining rating video games are set for October 5 and 6.
