Russia’s first mission to the moon in 5 many years has resulted in failure, as their Luna-25 spacecraft crashed into the floor on strategy.
The unmanned vessel, which launched from the Vostochny Cosmodrome earlier this month, crashed on the moon’s floor Saturday. Not a lot is thought about the reason for the failure, however officers known as it an “irregular scenario.”
The launch marked Russia’s first try and strategy the moon since 1976 … the aim was to try a touchdown close to the moon’s south pole.
The Russian house company, Roscosmos, mentioned they misplaced contact with the craft Saturday afternoon stating, “spacecraft entered an unplanned orbit and ceased to exist after colliding with the floor of the Moon.”
All extra efforts to make contact have since failed.
