Right wing’s ‘government-in-waiting’ will topple democracy

To the editor: I used to be dismayed to learn that conservative organizations, led by the Heritage Basis, are making ready a plan to fireside as many as 50,000 federal employees and change them with individuals loyal to Donald Trump if he’s once more elected president.

I assume these similar organizations have members who, like myself, attended highschool and have been required to take a course in U.S. authorities. I recall my trainer explaining the significance of checks and balances between the three co-equal branches of presidency.

Now, the Heritage Basis seeks to usurp our democratic custom to create an autocratic central authorities. I hope that following Trump’s trials and potential convictions, the unconventional MAGA nightmare will lastly finish.

To the editor: It’s terrifying to learn in regards to the Heritage Basis’s “Undertaking 2025” handbook.

Its “unitary view of govt energy” is a elaborate technique to say “dictatorship.” When you assume they’ll’t do that, simply have a look at the present Supreme Court docket, which is the results of many years of labor to regulate the judiciary.

We have to have a look at the Heritage Basis and its 2025 Presidential Transition Undertaking as entities bent on destroying our democracy.

To the editor: Undertaking 2025 has the singular purpose of changing federal professionals with Trump stooges who will disregard the legislation in subservience to executing his political agenda.

In so doing, they’re taking a web page straight out of Karl Marx’s playbook: Harness the ability of the state to realize sociopolitical goals.

Does this imply “communist” is now not a conservative pejorative?

To the editor: Way back, conservatives have been thinkers and guardians of liberty (recall Russell Kirk and William F. Buckley).

They’re now not both. Now they assume that liberty is unique to them.

Liberty is inclusive and common, or it doesn’t exist in any respect, not even for them. Tyranny is the results of the absence of liberty.
