To the editor: Oh, the irony of Republican lawmakers’ efforts to silence “interval discuss” in colleges underneath the guise of “parental alternative.”

Menstruation is a traditional a part of feminine maturation. In my college days, pads and tampons had been known as “sanitary merchandise.” Cleaning soap in restrooms is one other instance of a sanitary product.

Menstrual blood is the blood of fertility, the blood of life. Blood from bullet wounds inflicted by weapons at school shootings is the blood of demise, and no mother or father chooses that for his or her baby.

To the editor: Having menstrual pads and tampons out there, particularly at no cost, in colleges exhibits respect for and an consciousness of the truth of a woman’s life. To name offering such requirements “liberal” or “woke” is only one extra instance of the discomfort so many individuals have with females.

I’m 80 years previous now however I clearly recall being in center college and having to stroll to the lavatory with a blood stain on my skirt and youngsters taking a look at me, and nothing to assist me however rest room paper. At that younger age, intervals are unpredictable, and women are new to the expertise.
