Mysterious flashes on Venus may be a rain of meteors, new study suggests

The thick, acid-rich clouds of Venus proceed to shroud the planet subsequent door in thriller.

Scientists have long-debated whether or not intriguing mild flashes recorded by earlier Venus missions are proof of lightning strikes on the planet. If these flashes actually characterize lightning, future missions to the windy planet should be designed such that they’re robust sufficient to outlive the bolts, that are identified to wreck electronics right here on Earth.
