Ceppos a powerful
journalist and buddy
I received to know Jerry Ceppos nicely whereas he was at Knight Ridder and I used to be Director of the Journalism College at San Jose State College. I invited him to my graduate seminar. With Jerry within the room, college students watched TV in awe as he was interviewed on “Nightline.”

After I went to CSU Fullerton as Dean and he moved to LSU, we labored collectively nationally on committees, having fun with dinners, wine and deep conversations.
