Drivers want higher plans
for bridge emergencies

Re: “Richmond-San Rafael Bridge reopens Saturday morning after emergency” (Web page B8, July 23).

I’ve an enormous quantity of empathy for an individual who’s contemplating ending her life. However having sat within the site visitors jam for hours as I attempted to navigate a route from San Anselmo to Oakland, I thought-about what different crises, psychological or bodily, might have resulted from the gridlock. Emergency autos unable to get by, a lady in labor, with issues, street rage with somebody carrying a gun within the automotive … please plan forward. Have a plan to stop the gridlock that blocked each street that night time.

I’m glad the individual in misery was saved. I simply hope the individual can get a psychological well being appointment.
