KLM introduces new champagne in World Business Class

Champagne house Lonclas was founded in 1976 and is located in Bassuet in the south of the Champagne region. Together with daughters Aurelié and Mathilde, founder Bernard is committed to growing the best grapes in his vineyards.

In recent years, KLM has served various types of sparkling wine on board: for a short time, champagne was even exchanged for Spanish cava, which not all passengers were happy with. But in the coming years, travelers will know where they stand.

Bernard Lonclas’ new champagne is well rated by connoisseurs. This brand is not entirely new to KLM: they have already collaborated with it in the past.

The Cuvée Sélection Brut consists of 45 percent chardonnay, 35 percent meunier and 20 percent pinot noir. Blanc de Blanc will follow in a few months, which is made from only Chardonnay grapes.
