Jusant has been released for about one month and it has already earned very favorable acclaim. Available on Steam, Playstation, and Xbox, at the time of writing, the game has an Overwhelmingly Positive user rating on Steam. The developers have also crafted a slick accolades trailer celebrating the many high review scores from various online outlets and journalists.
Here at TVGB, we’ve also added our voice to the mass of very positive comments about Jusant. More specifically, I reviewed this title recently. If you happen to be interested in what I had to say, you can check out the article here. Citing the tranquil and engaging atmosphere, the game is much more than it seems at first glance. It is the perfect background game for an 11pm Discord call with friends, or a fun little physics game to fool around with.
If you have been on the fence (or the cliff), the developer DON’T NOD has just released their Accessibility Update, which includes a strong suite of options for people who have a hard time holding inputs, or simply want a less intense experience.
The features include but are not limited to:
- Simplified Climbing Mode (no longer necessary to hold down triggers)
- Simplified Rappel Mode
- Simplified Interaction Mode
- Jump Assistance
- No Stamina Mode
- Color Blindness options (Deuteranopia, Protanopia, Tritanopia) and sliders.
There was also a laundry list of various bug fixes and optimizations. I’m not going to go into detail on these now, but you can see the full patch notes for all the quality-of-life stuff HERE.
Jusant is a unique experience that is worth a try, you may love it, or you may save it for a rainy day. This game was a pleasant retreat and I suspect I will be revisiting it whenever I find myself in the mood for a short hike, but don’t want to put on my boots. I clearly enjoyed myself because I’m still singing this title’s praises. It’s definitely one worth checking out for those of you looking for a little bit of a change.
