ISS livestream: Watch a live link-up with astronaut Andreas Mogensen

Andreas Mogensen, former Imperial College London engineering student and current commander of the International Space Station (ISS) is speaking live from the ISS to students at New Scientist Live today, taking their questions about his mission there and what life is like as an astronaut.

The livestream is starting at 12.50 BST.

The ISS is the largest modular space station in low Earth orbit, staying about 400 kilometres above Earth’s surface, and it has been continuously crewed since November 2000.

European Space Agency astronaut Mogensen’s first spacewalk is planned for Thursday 12 October, when he and NASA astronaut Loral O’Hara will venture outside the ISS to install a new camera to prepare for a future experiment.
