On Monday, HBO dropped the primary teaser trailer for The Idol, its controversial upcoming collection from The Weeknd and Euphoria creator Sam Levinson.
The present, which is able to debut on June 4, follows pop star Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp) as she falls underneath the spell of nightclub proprietor Tedros, who’s performed by The Weeknd.
Within the teaser, set to a remix of Britney Spears’s “Gimme Extra,” we see the pair meet and people round Jocelyn turn out to be involved that Tedros has “brainwashed” her.
The erotic drama collection, which can be co-created by Reza Fahim, costars Troye Sivan, Dan Levy, Da’Vine Pleasure Randolph, Rachel Sennott, Eli Roth, Hari Nef, Hank Azaria, Moses Sumney, Ramsey, Mike Dean, Suzanna Son, and Jennie Ruby Jane from Blackpink.
