Harvard scientist claims ‘anomalous’ metal spheres pulled from the ocean could be alien technology. Others are not convinced.

For almost a decade, a whole bunch of tiny magnetic spheres shed by an extraterrestrial customer lay deep beneath the Pacific Ocean. Now, the minute pellets have been dredged up by a scientific expedition — they usually’re fueling a media frenzy that some scientists really feel is unearned.

In 2014, a fireball blazed throughout the sky above Papua New Guinea, shedding particles because it handed. A U.S. authorities sensor stationed close by measured its velocity at greater than 110,000 mph (177,000 km/h), and NASA’s Middle for Close to-Earth Object Research (CNEOS) detected its fall. The meteorite splashed down within the ocean about 53 miles (85 kilometers) offshore.
