Flames, Coyotes D Michael Stone retires after 12 seasons

Defenseman Michael Stone retired from the NHL on Wednesday after 12 seasons with the Coyotes group and Calgary Flames

Stone, 33, tallied 11 factors (six objectives, 5 assists) in 48 video games this previous season, his seventh in Calgary.

The Flames introduced that Stone will be a part of the group in a participant growth function

He finishes with 145 factors (41 objectives, 104 assists) in 552 profession video games with the Coyotes (2011-17) and Flames

Stone was chosen within the third spherical by the-then Phoenix Coyotes within the 2008 draft. The Coyotes traded Stone to Calgary in February 2017 for 2 draft picks

He performed in 15 video games within the postseason with the Coyotes (2012) and Flames (2017, 2022). He tallied six factors (three objectives, three assists)

He leaves the sport with $21 million in profession earnings, per Spotrac.
