Exclusive: Anil Kapoor joins the cast of Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s historical drama

A historical drama on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, is currently being made by director Laxman Utekar. The first phase of production for the film Chhava is scheduled to start in mid-October, and it will be finished by April 2024. The film also emphasizes the important role of Aurangzeb and has an intriguing cast, including Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale. Anil Kapoor will reportedly have a prominent role in the movie, according to recent reports.

As per our sources, the makers of the Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhava have now roped in Anil Kapoor for an important role in the film.

Vicky Kaushal is now preparing for his role in Meghna Gulzar’s upcoming film Sam Bahadur, which is scheduled to be released towards the end of this year. Vicky will be onscreen alongside Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh in Sam Bahadur. Vicky Kaushal will star alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Dunki and Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam in addition to Sam Bahadur.

The most recent project Rashmika Mandanna worked on was Mission Majnu, a film starring Sidharth Malhotra. She is currently preparing for the debut of Animal, in which she will appear alongside Ranbir Kapoor. The movie Animal is anticipated to premiere on December 1st, 2023.
