Boston Celtics guard Marcus Good received the 2022-23 NBA Hustle Award, the league introduced Thursday.
It’s the second straight yr and the third time in 5 seasons that Good, 29, has obtained the annual honor.
The so-called hustle stats — deflections, free balls recovered, expenses drawn, display screen assists, contested pictures and box-outs — have been tracked by the NBA since 2016. The award was first offered in 2016-17.
Good, the 2021-22 NBA Defensive Participant of the 12 months, averaged 11.5 factors, 6.3 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 61 video games (all begins) in 2022-23.
“His power performs, the sacrifices he makes for his teammates, the all-out effort by which he competes might not seem within the conventional field rating,” learn the NBA information launch. “However these performs had been key to Boston ending with the second-best report within the NBA (57-25) and helped Good earn his third profession NBA Hustle Award.”
