The cast of Amitabh Bachchan’s upcoming mythological-sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD presented a poster of the 81-year-old actor from the movie on his birthday. Bachchan’s character is depicted in the first look poster as a sage who is standing upright in what appears to be a cave with sunlight directly falling on top of him. Only his eyes can be seen in the poster of the megastar, who is sporting a thick beard.
“It’s an honour to be part of your journey and witness your greatness. Happy Birthday @SrBachchan sir – Team #Kalki2898AD,” Vyjayanthi Movies’ official account tweeted.
Nag Ashwin is the director of the multilingual science fiction movie, formerly known as Project K. Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Prabhas all play key parts in the movie.
According to Hindu mythology, Kalki is thought to be Vishnu’s upcoming last incarnation. When the current era, also known as the Kalyug or Kali yuga, comes to a conclusion when oppressors control the globe and dharma has entirely vanished, Kalki will arrive on earth to put an end to the oppression and usher in a new era.
Kalki 2898 AD, produced by C Aswani Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies, also stars Disha Patani. It is likely to hit screens next year.
