4,000-year-old cemetery discovered at future rocket launch site in UK


Archaeologists have unearthed a 4,000-year-old cemetery within the Shetland Islands in northern Scotland, forward of the development of one of many U.Okay.’s first rocket launchpads.

The finds on the website on Unst, Shetland’s northernmost island, embrace a number of deposits of cremated human bones and an arc of buried boulders, Shetland’s regional archaeologist Val Turner advised Reside Science.
