In his 2023 e book Yearbook, Seth Rogen claimed that, in 2006, throughout a five-hour assembly with Judd Apatow and Tom Cruise, who wished to get into comedy, Tom mentioned the Oprah interview.
He allegedly informed them, “Nicely, yeah, they’re making it seem to be I am dropping my thoughts. There is a coordinated effort to make it seem that manner. [Seth asked, ‘Who would do that?’] The pharmaceutical trade. As a result of my publicity of their fraud has value them SO a lot cash that they are determined. They’re scrambling, they usually’re doing every little thing they’ll to discredit me so I will not damage gross sales anymore. … They edited it to make it look a lot worse than it was.”
