OnePlus announced the first specifications of the Nord CE4 Lite on Friday afternoon. The first device in the Nord 4 series will be released on June 24.
OnePlus introduced the North CE4, but it will not appear in Europe. The Nord CE4 Lite is therefore the first Nord 4 model that will be for sale here. Compared to the regular CE4 has the Lite version a slightly smaller 5,110 mAh battery (compared to 5,500 mAh on the CE4). Sony’s 50MP main camera, on the other hand, is identical: both devices contain Sony’s LYT-600 sensor.
The design is also shared between both devices. There is the vertical camera module on the back, the flat frame and the thin edges around the screen. However, the Lite’s camera module has two cameras, while the Nord CE4 has three. Charging is also slightly slower on the Nord CE4 Lite, at 80 watts, which OnePlus says can charge the phone from empty to full in 50 minutes.
Don’t expect earth-shattering results in terms of performance. According to GSMArena, it contains a Snapdragon 695 SoC, which dates back to 2021 and is therefore quite old. The downside is that this will probably make the smartphone relatively affordable. Last year the Nord CE3 Lite 329 euros and it had the same SoC.
Introduction on June 24
OnePlus does not mention an exact launch date for the Nord CE4 Lite on the promotion page. However, the general terms and conditions state that the promotions surrounding the smartphone end on June 24. This corresponds to the launch date of the Nord CE4 Lite in India, where the device will be released on June 24. We will probably know more about the price and availability of this budget phone on Monday.
