The new products and comfort bags, as KLM calls the toiletry bags, replace the current comfort bags and products from Rituals. This morning, Thursday June 27, they were shown for the first time in the KLM Crown Lounge at Schiphol.
The toiletry bags have a new, modern design and are foldable, which makes an even larger bag. KLM hopes that they will be reused. The design is based on the weather conditions during a flight or at different times of the day.
“The bags are a collector’s item. New designs are coming and they are completely different. There are now four designs on the table and we have a collaboration for the next two years,” says Marleen van de Pol, VP Customer Experience KLM.

Marie-Stella-Maris
From July 1, customers in the KLM Crown Lounge and on board in KLM Business Class can use hand soap, gel, lotion and a face mist from Marie-Stella-Maris. They will also receive a face moisturizer and a lip balm in the comfort bag from August 1.
The products consist of at least 96 percent ingredients of natural origin, such as shea butter, almond oil and hazelnut oil. In addition, Marie-Stella-Maris structurally donates 2.5 percent of its turnover to sustainable water projects.
“I am proud to present the new comfort bags after 1.5 to 2 years of testing. It’s good to innovate. We enjoy working with Dutch brands and sustainability is important to us, we have found each other in that,” says Paul Terstegge, EVP Inflight Services.
