Emirates starts scheduled service to Madagascar

The Dubai – Mahé – Antananarivo – Mahé – Dubai route is operated with a Boeing 777-300ER, which has 8 First Class, 42 Business Class and 310 Economy seats on board. Emirates operates the route on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, under flight number EK707/EK708. The departure and arrival times in Dubai (08:55/04:20) are in line with the Benelux flights.

Emirates also offers the option to fly only between the Seychelles and Madagascar, combining a holiday to both countries.

Relatively few major airlines fly to Madagascar. From Europe, there are only flights to Antananarivo from Paris (Air France, Air Madagascar, Corsair) and Istanbul (Turkish Airlines), in some cases with a stopover. Of the Middle Eastern airlines, Emirates will soon be the only one with a flight connection to the African island state.
