Birth of wild red wolf pups brings hope to species on brink of extinction

An especially uncommon litter of critically endangered purple wolf pups has been born within the wild for the second time in 5 years. The wolf dad and mom have additionally adopted a captive-bred pup into the brand new brood for the primary time, additional elevating hopes that the species will be saved from extinction.
